According to Odaily Planet Daily, crypto KOL cygaar wrote in X that the relationship between Ethereum L1 and L2 is now quite unbalanced. L2 has gained the benefits of Ethereum security but has not contributed much value to ETH.
Cygaar proposed two ways to restore balance: one is to increase the minimum blob fee. Currently, the blob fee is basically zero, causing ETH to become inflationary again. Increasing the basic blob fee can allow L2 to pay a certain fee to use Ethereum DA.
The second is to increase L2 usage. The current blob pricing curve is set because researchers predict that there will be more demand for L2. If the demand and use of L2 increases, the blob pricing curve can appropriately price DA blobs, resulting in a healthy level of ETH destruction on L1.
