According to BlockBeats, on September 1, Michael Shellenberger, a writer for San Francisco magazine, reported that the Brazilian government has blocked the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. The government has also threatened citizens with a daily fine of $8,900 if they use the platform.
Elon Musk shared a supportive tweet, stating that Twitter respects Brazilian laws but has the right to refuse when asked to violate these laws. Ironically, while Twitter may face bans in other regions for not complying with local laws, it has been banned in Brazil for adhering to them.
