According to PANews, UAE-based Web3 streaming platform Myco has successfully raised $10 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Daman Investments, Aptos Labs, B Digital, Mocha Ventures, Art3 Foundation, Ghaf Capital Partners, Mix Media Network, Factor6 Capital Partners, and Enjinstarter, along with several angel investors. This latest funding round values the company at $80 million. The newly acquired funds will be used to expand Myco's presence in the Middle East and North American markets. Previously, Myco announced a partnership with the Aptos Foundation to decentralize streaming content on the Aptos blockchain.
Myco is a content streaming decentralized application (dApp) that seamlessly integrates AVOD (advertising-based video on demand) and SVOD (subscription video on demand) functionalities within a decentralized environment. The platform leverages the Web3 economic layer to empower both viewers and content owners with true ownership and control. Currently, Myco's content offerings include live sports, movies, documentaries, and user-generated content (UGC).
