According to ChainCatcher, GaiaNet CEO and co-founder Matt Wright spoke about the two camps in the decentralized AI debate. The first camp prefers a controlled software environment, while the second believes in open and libertarian ideals.
Matt Wright agrees with the second camp. “I don’t believe in controlling these systems,” he said. “We should guide them properly, provide safety guardrails and appropriate dialogue. These systems should not be managed by individuals or governments.”
He also mentioned that Web3 and Ethereum implement proper on-chain governance, where tokenized entities manage the system in a more democratic way based on their level of participation.
Matt Wright said: “We are at a critical moment now, with incredible institutional recognition of the asset class for cryptocurrency ETFs, which will bring a lot of liquidity to the space.”
Matt Wright is reportedly the CEO and co-founder of GaiaNet, an AI infrastructure project that aims to decentralize current AI agent software.
