According to BlockBeats, on August 21, BadgerDAO announced the launch of the Badger funding program supported by Gitcoin with a prize pool of US$250,000, aimed at supporting the community-driven growth of Bitcoin in the DeFi field.

The program’s goals include supporting projects that enhance the eBTC protocol ecosystem, discovering new ideas and talent that can add value to DAOs, and encouraging innovation that brings Bitcoin to DeFi.

Applicants should at least focus on improving BADGER utility, improving Bitcoin integration in DeFi, Bitcoin L2, rollups or mining innovations, and developing or developing parallel products based on the eBTC protocol.

Application requirements include proposals with a clear and achievable roadmap, open community feedback, application amounts between $1,000 and $100,000, and agreement on milestone-based payment methods. Applicants must publish proposals on the Badger DAO governance forum, which will be reviewed by the Treasury Council and submitted to the Gitcoin Grants Stack team.
