According to BlockBeats, on August 14, during the DePINsubmit Summit at New York's Stanford Blockchain Week, IoTeX ecosystem's AI infrastructure project Network3 announced the pre-sale of its first batch of physical miners starting on August 20. These miners will integrate IoTeX's on-chain device identity module, ioID, making them the first Web3 devices verified by third-party on-chain and off-chain methods. Devices with integrated ioID will be able to mine both Network3's native token and $IOTX simultaneously.
Previously, IoTeX announced its modular upgrade to DePIN, transitioning from a Layer 1 public chain to a DePIN infrastructure platform that includes device identity and off-chain computing modules. Supported by the off-chain computing module W3bstream and the device identity module ioID, data from off-chain devices can be encrypted and transmitted on-chain to verify authenticity and operational status. This data can be visualized and dynamically updated through DePINscan, providing a trustworthy, verifiable, and traceable link from the physical world to the blockchain, laying a crucial foundation for the large-scale adoption of DePIN.
Last month, Network3 announced a $5.5 million funding round, with its network nodes exceeding 260,000, covering 181 countries and regions. The official statement indicated that several leading institutions have confirmed participation in the next round of financing. The project token $N3 has already begun the listing process.
