According to Bloomberg, Polish billionaire Brzoska called on Meta to step up its fight against advertising fraud using deep fake technology. He hopes to pressure Meta to better distinguish between fake and legitimate content by joining forces with other well-known Poles.

Meta, which has come under increasing pressure worldwide over its generative AI tools and celebrity portraits being used in scams, said it removes false content when it finds it and is evaluating the Polish regulator’s decision.

Brzoska called the Polish regulator’s decision the first such action under EU data protection rules. He will wait to see whether the Irish Data Protection Commission will take over the injunction and then decide in which jurisdiction to file the case.
