According to TechFlow, on July 26, asset management giant Franklin Templeton signed a cooperation agreement with Japan's SBI Holdings to jointly establish a new cryptocurrency exchange-traded fund (ETF) management company.
Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson said the partnership will expose more young investors to crypto ETFs and bring new capital to underlying digital assets, boosting their prices.
Yoshitaka Kitao, CEO of SBI Holdings, said that SBI hopes to further promote the development of Web3 business through this joint venture. A spokesperson for Franklin Templeton said that a crypto ETF may be launched in the future, depending on Japan's regulatory framework.
