According to Odaily Planet Daily, the number of transactions and active addresses on the Base chain hit record highs. On July 15, the Base chain recorded 3.28 million transactions. As of the end of the week on July 19, this number had climbed to 3.52 million, an average daily increase of about 1.8% within a week.

As the number of transactions surged, Base's active addresses also hit a record high. The number of active addresses increased from 567,000 on July 15 to nearly 650,000 on July 19, an average daily increase of about 3.5% during the same period.

Meanwhile, Base's fees have spiked significantly, with charges collected on July 20 reaching the highest daily total in more than a month at $177,000.

Base still lags behind Arbitrum in terms of total on-chain value locked (TVL). At press time, Base’s TVL is $1.77 billion, while Arbitrum’s TVL is $3.25 billion.
