According to Foresight News, Bitcoin mining company Marathon Digital announced that its Bitcoin production in June was 590, a 40% year-on-year decrease, mainly due to the Bitcoin halving in April. As of June 30, 2024, the company held a total of 18,536 unrestricted BTC, and chose not to sell Bitcoin in June.
Marathon Digital also plans to launch a 2 MW pilot project in Finland to heat a community of 11,000 residents using recovered heat calculated by digital assets.
