According to Foresight News, Sony Group has acquired Amber Japan and entered the field of crypto trading platforms. Sony's business covers games, music, cameras and other fields, with a market value of more than US$100 billion. Previously, Singapore market maker Amber Group acquired Japan's regulated crypto trading platform DeCurret in early 2022 and renamed it Amber Japan.
Foresight News earlier reported that Amber Group completed a $200 million financing round in February 2022 at a valuation of $3 billion. Investors included Temasek, Sequoia China, Pantera Capital and Tiger Global Management.
