According to PANews, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has indicated in a document dated June 10 that NYSE Arca has proposed a rule change to allow the listing and trading of ProShares Ethereum ETF stocks. The SEC has stated that it will seek public opinion on the ETF application within 21 days of its publication in the Federal Register. The SEC will then have 45 days to approve, reject, or extend its decision.
Previously, ProShares had submitted a 19b-4 form to the SEC last week, planning to list and trade Ethereum spot ETFs on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). On May 23, the SEC officially approved the Ethereum spot ETF 19b-4 forms submitted by eight asset management companies. However, they will not begin trading on U.S. exchanges until the SEC approves the S-1 registration statement.
