According to Odaily, Eric Balchunas, a Bloomberg ETF analyst, has suggested that a spot Ethereum ETF could be launched in the United States by June. This follows updates to documents by BlackRock and Grayscale. Balchunas believes that the launch of the spot Ethereum ETF by the end of June is a 'reasonable' possibility, while a mid-June launch is 'very unlikely'. The latest expected listing date for the product is July 4th.
Balchunas' predictions are influenced by the timing of the issuer's S-1 statement. He commented on BlackRock's S-1 amendment dated May 29th, noting that the amendment did not include fees and other important data, making it close to the final version. Grayscale also submitted an S-3 amendment for its fund on May 30th, updating the fund and explicitly prohibiting pledging. These two statements mark one of the final necessary steps before these funds begin trading.
