According to Wu Shuo, the Journal of East China University of Political Science and Law recently published a paper titled "Prohibition-style Regulation of Virtual Currency: Legal Reflection and Institutional Optimization". The paper points out that although prohibition-style regulation has played an effective role in risk prevention in a certain stage, with the development of the market and changes in the international regulatory environment, this approach urgently needs to be optimized and adjusted. The article suggests that approved domestic financial institutions be allowed to engage in specific virtual currency businesses such as RMB stablecoins to promote financial innovation.
