According to Foresight News, Livepeer, a video streaming platform, has announced the launch of a decentralized video processing network, Livepeer AI subnet, with AI computing capabilities. The subnet will be built on the existing decentralized video processing network architecture of Livepeer, providing an open video infrastructure that is globally accessible. It will also incentivize scalability through a blockchain-based token economy.
The Livepeer AI subnet will allow Livepeer Orchestrator node operators to earn ETH and LPT income by deploying GPU resources for AI processing tasks. The launch of Livepeer's AI subnet will be carried out in three stages. The first stage has already been completed and is currently being optimized. Livepeer expects to launch the main network in the third quarter of 2024.
