According to BlockBeats, on May 9th, an attacker who stole 1155 WBTC transferred 51 ETH back to the victim's address. The attacker left a message for the victim, asking them to leave their Telegram contact details for further communication.
Previously, the victim of the phishing attack had repeatedly appealed to the phishing group through on-chain messages, expressing hope that the group could return 90% of the funds and keep 10% as a reward. However, the phishing group did not respond to these appeals.
This incident highlights the risks associated with digital currencies and the importance of maintaining secure digital wallets. It also underscores the need for victims of such attacks to communicate with the attackers, in hopes of recovering some of their lost funds.
