According to U.Today, the enigmatic leader of the Shiba Inu team, known by the pseudonym Shytoshi Kusama, has resurfaced on social media after a significant hiatus. Kusama used this opportunity to address critics of the Shiba Inu (SHIB) cryptocurrency and to share important news about the upcoming version of the ShibaSwap decentralized exchange (DEX).
Kusama's social media post was shared on a platform previously known as Twitter by Lucie, the official marketing lead of the Shiba Inu team. In his post, Kusama addressed a particular critic, whom he did not name, stating that he had invested a great deal of time and effort into developing SHIB and Shibarium. He criticized the unnamed critic, stating, 'You are a worthless critic who is not deserving of the breath God gave you. May all your lies be amplified eternally on your soul until you repent.'
In the same post, Kusama responded to a user's query about the timeline for the launch of the new version of the ShibaSwap DEX, ShibaSwap 2.0. Kusama's response was 'Pretty soon,' followed by a tongue-in-cheek comment: 'ShibaSwap 1.75 first.'
The last time Kusama communicated with the SHIB community via social media was in early April, when he invited everyone to meet SHIB team representatives at Meme Night in Dubai, an event organized by Metis and Freelabs. At that time, he also mentioned that he had been working hard and had therefore been quiet and not sharing any news or updates.
In other news, data from Shibburn reveals that the Shiba Inu community has managed to decrease the circulating supply of SHIB over the past week. Despite the daily burns not always being large, the SHIB community has managed to burn a significant number of meme coins - 450,995,857 SHIB. However, this was a 49.32% decrease in the burn rate compared to the previous week. Over the last 24 hours, 6,989,628 SHIB was transferred to unspendable blockchain wallets, with the overall daily burn rate down more than 98%.
