According to ChainCatcher, the smart wallet infrastructure Safe community voted to pass a proposal to enable the transferability of SAFE tokens. After the safeguard measures are taken, the earliest date on which SAFE tokens can be transferred is eight days after the end of the voting period, tentatively set for April 23, 2024.
When the SAFE token was launched in September 2022, it was non-transferable, and SafeDAO governance controlled an unpause function in the token contract that would make SAFE transferable. However, the original SafeDAO proposal (SEP #23) to make SAFE tokens transferable failed to be implemented due to a 73.63% negative vote.
