According to Odaily Planet Daily, Australian computer scientist Craig Wright has stopped appealing the defamation case he lost in Norway in 2022, which involved his claim that he was Satoshi Nakamoto, the anonymous founder of Bitcoin. The appeal was against Magnus Granath, a Norwegian citizen who made fierce remarks against Wright on Twitter. In 2022, a Norwegian judge sided with Granath on wording choices and other written statements, and Wright tried to appeal the decision.
Granath announced on social media: "Just got off the phone with my Norwegian lawyer and my 2022 win is now final and enforceable. The case started on May 19th, 2019 and lasted until today. I couldn't be happier! Now I just need to get the UK case dismissed/win and I can move on." Wright filed a defamation lawsuit against Granath in Norway in May 2019, alleging written and defamatory comments intended to damage someone's reputation.
