According to Odaily Planet Daily, Ripple announced two major technical developments for XRP Ledger (XRPL) through its development arm RippleX, including the launch of a new version of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) sidechain bridge and updates in the developer network (devnet) XRPL’s automated market maker (AMM) functionality. These two improved features are critical to Ripple’s strategy to enhance XRPL’s cross-border payments and DeFi capabilities.

It is reported that Peersyst Technology and Ripple have cooperated to launch a new version of the EVM sidechain bridge in the developer network, introducing an extensible interface to enhance the interoperability of XRP Ledger in the future.

In addition, RippleX announced an important update on the XRPL AMM function. The fix for the discovered bug has received more than 80% consensus and is expected to take effect on April 11. RippleX urges node and validator operators to update their infrastructure to rippled version 2.1.1.
