According to Foresight News, Patrick McHenry, the Chairman of the US House Financial Services Committee, will approve two digital dollar-related bills on September 20th. The two bills are the 'Digital Dollar Pilot Prevention Act' and the 'Federal Reserve Act'. The former will prohibit the Federal Reserve from launching pilot programs to test Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC) without congressional approval, while the latter will prohibit Federal Reserve banks from directly providing certain products or services to individuals and ban the use of CBDCs for monetary policy and other purposes.
