According to CryptoPotato, the marketing strategist of Shibarium, known as LUCIE, has warned the Shiba Inu community about malicious projects using the memecoin's name and its recently launched layer-2 blockchain solution. LUCIE retweeted a statement from Shiba Inu developer Kaal Dharyia, who urged people to conduct proper due diligence before joining the SHIB ecosystem to avoid falling victim to fraudsters.

Dharyia clarified on Twitter that ShibaSwap is the only official decentralized exchange of Shibarium, and projects claiming otherwise are likely scams. He also argued that some individuals unethically include SHIB's symbol and contacts in their business for personal gains. Developers of the popular memecoin have issued several warnings regarding the crypto project in recent months.

In August, Shiba Inu's marketing strategist alerted users on Twitter about potential scammers pretending to be related to the highly-anticipated Shibarium. The L2 scaling solution, which aims to increase transaction speed and lower costs, went live at the end of last month. Earlier this week, Shibarium faced another threat as Pawswap project impersonators targeted the community. Shiba Inu administrator DaVinci provided this information, explaining that the wrongdoers aimed to impersonate the legitimate blockchain technology business PawZone while spreading fake news to undermine Shibarium and its users.
