According to Cointelegraph, an artificial intelligence (AI)-generated vocal track of rapper Drake, created by anonymous producer Ghostwriter, has been submitted for consideration for a Grammy award. The track, titled 'Heart on My Sleeve', has been submitted to the Recording Academy for nomination in the Best Rap Song and Song of the Year categories. The songwriter, confirmed to be human, would receive the award if the track wins in either category.

Earlier this year, the Grammys updated its policy to allow music with AI-generated components to be eligible for awards, as long as the nominated category is for a human-created portion of the song. Grammy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. confirmed that music with AI elements is 'absolutely eligible' for Grammy nomination. However, the track was removed from all major streaming services, despite industry experts stating that its use of AI fell into a 'legal gray area'. The Recording Academy has not yet commented on the situation.
