According to Foresight News, Stroom Network, a Bitcoin Lightning Network liquidity staking project, has completed a $3.5 million funding round led by Berlin-based crypto investment firm Greenfield. Other participants in the round included Ankr's venture capital arm Mission Street, Lemniscap, No Limit Holdings, and Cogitent Ventures. The new funds will be used for team expansion and the launch of Bitcoin liquidity staking on the Lightning Network, including the release of the corresponding Ethereum-wrapped token lnBTC. Stroom's goal is to simplify the process of earning Lightning routing fees and contribute to the scalability of Bitcoin.
