🔥 President Donald Trump may be sued for memecoin TRUMP

The organization Public Citizen has filed a complaint with the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Office of Government Ethics (OGE), requesting an investigation into President Donald Trump's promotion of the memecoin TRUMP just before his inauguration on January 20th. They warn that this memecoin could be a "backdoor" for Trump to receive money from foreign entities.

Specifically, Trump is accused of:
🔹 Violating campaign finance laws: Trump is accused of exploiting the memecoin TRUMP to solicit funding indirectly and opaquely.
🔹 Receiving money from abroad through blockchain: Transactions involving the TRUMP token do not require KYC, opening up the possibility for foreign entities to fund anonymously without oversight.

If found intentionally facilitating the flow of foreign money into the memecoin $TRUMP, Trump could violate the Emoluments Clause, a law prohibiting U.S. presidents from receiving financial benefits from foreign governments.

However, as president, he may have immunity from prosecution if the court considers the promotion of $TRUMP as part of presidential duties.$TRUMP
