By the end of 2024, there were at least half a billion cryptocurrency users worldwide.

The highest concentration of traders is observed in the Asia-Pacific region, which has 160 million visitors. In second place is Europe with 134 million. The USA and Canada added another 56 million. Latin America and the Caribbean account for 40 million traders, while Africa has the lowest figure at 18 million.

Of the 12 companies in the ranking, and 3 companies not in the ranking, each has 10+ million unique visitors. Companies such as Binance, Crypto.com, and Bitget demonstrate the number of 'users' on their websites in the tens and hundreds of millions, but lack a clear definition of this term. These companies, like many others surveyed in the study, did not provide up-to-date data on active accounts. However, monthly data from SimilarWeb provides a clearer picture and an approximate number of users that is consistent across all exchanges.
