⚡Tether enters Lightning Network⚡

Paolo Ardoino, CEO of the company stated that this aims to offer practical solutions for remittances, payments, and other financial applications that demand both speed and reliability.

What makes this possible is #Taproot Assets, a piece that allows the issuance of assets on the base layer of Bitcoin and transfers through Lightning Network, focused on fast and cheap transactions, making micropayments more profitable.

The protocol, developed by Lightning Labs and launched last year, paves the way to bring external tokens like stablecoins into the Bitcoin ecosystem.
