People who often focus on short selling think differently from long investors. They are very afraid of being trapped when going long and often predict that if a certain level is broken, it will go to a lower position. They unconsciously wait at lower levels, and this habitual thinking often leads them to miss opportunities for buying low and bottom-fishing. Only when the price breaks above a certain level do they give up on short selling, and at that point, if the market turns strong, they can either chase the rise or endure the frustration of missing out. In fact, during a bull market cycle, the ones making big money are those who go long and chase the rise. The only time real short sellers make money is during a major bear market after the entire bull market cycle ends, like in 2022. The next bear market will be in 2026.
