Shares of BitFuFu, a cloud Bitcoin mining company based in Singapore, surged 13% after the company secured a deal to acquire 80,000 miners from Bitmain.
This two-year agreement will allow BitFuFu to purchase the latest models from Bitmain's S series, including the S21 XP and S21 Pro. The strategic partnership with Bitmain aims to rapidly expand BitFuFu's global mining infrastructure, with a goal of adding 1 gigawatt of capacity by the end of 2026. Following the announcement, BitFuFu's shares, listed on Nasdaq, rose to $5.60.
