Experts Project Ether Will Be Bitcoin's Tough Competitor This Year
Steno Research, an economic research firm, in its report, revealed that *Ether* (ETH) is likely to outperform *Bitcoin* (BTC) this year. The results of the report cite historical trends and Donald Trump's victory in the biggest political contest in the United States.
The report predicts that Bitcoin will reach a minimum of US$150 thousand this year, up from around US$94,000. Meanwhile, Ether is expected to rise to US$8,000 from US$3,400. Steno also estimates that the Ether or Bitcoin ratio will increase to 0.06 in the next 12 months from the current 0.0357.
"This expectation is partly based on the argument that Donald Trump's victory as US president is more beneficial for altcoins than Bitcoin," said Analyst Mads Eberhardt.
