Blockware: BTC can hit $150,000 or $400,000 in 2025, depending on Bitcoin Strategic Reserve and Fed rates

The potential price range for Bitcoin in 2025 is quite significant, but it comes down to three main factors, according to cryptocurrency mining firm Blockware.

macroeconomic factors and broader BTC adoption rates. Source: Blockware

Blockware stated that a $400,000 Bitcoin price or “bull case” is possible if all three factors align.

First, the Federal Reserve should take “a more dovish stance” as the Consumer Price Index (CPI) declines.

Second, corporate adoption of Bitcoin should accelerate, with one of the “Magnificent 7” companies — Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta Platforms, Microsoft, Nvidia, or Tesla — adding Bitcoin to its balance sheet.

One such company, Microsoft, had its shareholders vote against a resolution to add Bitcoin to the company’s balance sheets during the firm’s annual meeting on Dec. 10.

Finally, the US government would not only have to convert its existing holdings into a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve, but also accumulate more Bitcoin — an outcome that Galaxy Digital recently said is unlikely.

“The US government will not buy Bitcoin in 2025,” Galaxy Research head of research Alex Thorn said in a Dec. 27 report.

Thorn said that instead, the US government will create a reserve using Bitcoin, which it already owns, while discussions on a Bitcoin reserve policy will continue.
