# **Research Says US Government Will Not Buy Bitcoin Next Year**

Galaxy Digital stated that the United States Government will likely not buy Bitcoin next year. The reason is, they currently have hundreds of thousands of Bitcoins stored in several wallet addresses.

As reported by CoinTelegraph, Saturday (12/28), the government of Uncle Sam's country is actually suspected of storing the existing Bitcoin reserves. This is because they are considered not to want to lose these valuable digital assets.

For information, the United States currently has 183 thousand Bitcoins with a value of US$17.5 billion or equivalent to Rp283 billion. This figure is planned to be increased during the Donald Trump administration.

Trump himself has ambitions to acquire more Bitcoins, or precisely 1 million Bitcoins in the next 5 years. Although it is not yet certain what method will be used, the Crypto Academy Editorial Team sees several strategies that can be used.

Starting from selling existing gold reserves, opening funding through the launch of government bonds, to opening Bitcoin mining that is much more massive in the future.
