Today is the Day of the Innocent 28-12. Take everything you read with a grain of salt.
You may have many disappointments and they may just be jokes. The Day of the Innocents is commemorated on December 28th each year. Although the date is currently used as a day for pranks, its origins come from a tragic story in Catholicism. It is the Day of the Holy Innocents, a Christian holiday founded in the 4th century, which pays homage to young martyrs who were victims of King Herod.
During the Middle Ages, this celebration was combined with a pagan festival known as the Feast of Fools. It was a day originating from France, in preparation for the last carnival of each year. Thus, December 28th was designated as the Day of the Innocents. Over the years, its tragic origin was set aside and it became a day dedicated to jokes.
So everything you hear and read today, take it with a grain of salt.
