Cryptocurrency miners are abandoning Bitcoin mining in favor of maintaining AI-based programs due to high costs of mining digital assets.
According to the firm CoinShares, in the third quarter of 2024, the average cost of mining one Bitcoin by legal organizations increased by 13% compared to the second quarter, amounting to $55,950. As a result, some mining enterprises have halted projects to increase equipment hash rate in order to invest more in AI.
