Hawk Tuah influencer Haliey Welch finally spoke up about her failed meme coin, HAWK, but instead of support, she got roasted by the crypto community.

Welch went silent after the HAWK token launched, last saying “going to bed” during an audio stream on December 4. Since then, no posts, no updates—until Friday, when she finally addressed the controversy in an X post.

Her statement came just as investors filed a lawsuit against HAWK’s creators, accusing them of promoting the token like an unregistered security. The lawsuit says the misleading hype led to a 90% price crash and losses of over $151,000.

Welch isn’t part of the lawsuit but told investors to contact Burwick Law, the firm handling the case.

The internet didn’t go easy on her. Jokes, memes, and frustration flooded in. Even Polymarket joined the fun with a poll asking if Welch would tweet again before December 20—she just made it in time.
