Regarding the utility of $ORDI, it is my guess based on the content of sapce and is not an official decision of the brc20 protocol.
However, $ordi is the first asset deployed by domo and the largest asset on the Bitcoin chain. Following the first is first principle, there is a high probability that this will be the choice.
