Today a planetary call was held in @Jupiter 🪐 , where confirmations of some eligibility criteria for the upcoming #airdrop of Jupiter arriving in January were given. Some of these criteria were announced earlier, however, now we have more details. What criteria will I need to be chosen for the Jupiter airdrop? Let’s explore.
Something they are hinting at from now is that there are many more wallets that interacted with Jupiter products this year compared to the previous year. Depending on the criteria they choose, I think the eligibility criteria will either be stricter to reduce the number of these wallets or they will distribute to more wallets, but a smaller amount of #tokens #JUP .
As has been expressed in previous sessions, by launching this airdrop they seek to increase the size of the pie, encourage the use of various Jupiter products, and allow you to be part of the jupiverse.
They will focus on 4 components for the distribution of the 2025 airdrop, which will be:
Real users
Stakers
Good cats (Those who have contributed to the jupiverse)
Carrots (Incentives for actions)
Who are the real users?
Real users are the ones who will receive most of the rewards from the Jupiter airdrop, this includes those who used the various products from #Jupiter such as exchanges, DCA, perpetuals, the Ape dapp for memecoins among others.
Will those who staked JUP and voted be included in the airdrop?
The answer is a resounding yes, and as mentioned in the last vote, stakers will be part of the Jupiter airdrop, and there is even talk of additional tokens for those who never removed their JUP from staking and voted in all votes.
Who are the good cats?
This new criterion is very similar to what Sanctum did in the distribution of its airdrop, where it gave additional rewards to those who helped spread the protocol through social media, making the protocol more known and inviting new users.
In the case of Jupiter, they are proposing something similar, but for this, you would have to submit a document demonstrating all the contributions you have made to Jupiter this year, and this would go through a review process.
What do they mean by the last criterion of “Carrots”?
This is very simple, and it is that a part of the Jupiter airdrop will be given to those who have held their airdrop since their claim (meaning they have not sold any JUP tokens), to those who have bought and staked JUP, and to users who have been incorrectly classified as bots.
This sums up to having additional tokens for all those who trusted Jupiter from the beginning, which seems like a good form of incentives, as no one expected anything in return.
This airdrop is expected to be released before January 25, which is before the major Jupiter event “Catstambul”. As for the official checker, there is no exact date yet.
Would you rate any criteria?
