✨ $BTC , $XRP - Store of Value vs Medium of Exchange? If we would invent a medium of exchange currency from scratch it would actually not be a suitable for store of value. These two functions of money are contradictory to each other. Supply of Payment instrument needs to be flexible and dynamic, and it would be inconvenient if it is too volatile. It should not be too attractive for investors as store of value. I’m not bashing in any way this amazing currency. Just saying, if it is widely accepted as more or less universal means of payment it will naturally become leas attractive for short term investors. Wanna hear next of #quinn_tips ? ✨Do You Trust Wall Street Journal? ❓ Yesterday WSJ referencing anonymous source who supposedly overheard some conversation published that Trump will change multiple regulations related to crypto including one which requires banks to list digital assets as liabilities on a balance sheet. Do you think it is bullish or bearish for crypto? Many posts in SM and here on Square suggest that it is. And I think it is more likely is than it is not 😁. But, can you spot the manipulation in this news? Why, on earth, we think someone wants to manipulate on such positive and almost innocent news? Answer to this question is simple, to trigger stronger emotional responses and induce us make impulsive decisions. Still didn’t spot a manipulation? Evil SEC with their regulation 221 requires banks to list digital assets as liabilities. LIABILITIES❕And our savior will revoke this on his first day with his executive order. To be honest I didn’t study the whole regulation, it is probably too restrictive and worth being revised. But I can assure you that part about liabilities will not be revised and if it is revised it will actually be bad news. And if you know accounting just a little bit you already know why. It is just media is missing important part: banks are required to list as liabilities digital assets it holds on behalf of their customers. So you can see all attributes of proper manipulation: - anonymous source - in general good prediction with high likelihood - but missing out important parts, and being incorrect or incomplete in small details - missing actual reasonable analysis - instead focus on words and concepts which will trigger emotional response Bottom line: expect proper market manipulation this week.
