Riot Platforms Increases Holdings of $69 Million in Bitcoin
According to the latest documents from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bitcoin miner Riot Platforms has purchased 667 bitcoins worth $69 million. The average price for this acquisition was $101,135 per bitcoin.
With this purchase, Riot's total Bitcoin holdings have risen to 17,429 BTC, valued at approximately $2 billion based on today's prices.
Following the announcement of this acquisition, the stock price of this Bitcoin miner surged by 8%.
