In this note, Nakamoto announced the transfer of responsibility for the further development of Bitcoin to the community, particularly to the members of Bitcoin Core, among whom was Mike Hearn.

On April 23, 2011, Mike Hearn sent a letter to Nakamoto, asking whether he planned to return to working on Bitcoin, to which Nakamoto replied that he was working on other things, as Bitcoin was already in reliable hands.
