Three post-95 young men used virtual currency to circumvent foreign exchange regulations and were sentenced for illegal business operations
PANews reported on December 10 that according to the Procuratorial Daily, on November 18, the Jiangsu Province Jianhu County Procuratorate organized law enforcement officers to distribute promotional materials in communities and streets, explaining the main forms of crimes related to virtual currency and interpreting the legal risks of virtual currency transactions, in conjunction with a new type of crime case involving virtual currency transactions. In this case, three post-95 young men used virtual currency trading as a medium to engage in foreign exchange 'business', completing over 650 transactions worth nearly 30 million yuan in just a few months. The Jianhu County Procuratorate has filed a public prosecution, and Lin and the three others have recently been sentenced by the court to prison terms ranging from five years to one year and six months, with fines imposed.
