Ethereum core developers confirm Pectra is included in EIP 7691
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Christine Kim, vice president of Galaxy Research, summarized the key points of the 201st Ethereum core developer executive conference call:
It is officially confirmed that Pectra has been included in EIP 7691, which will double the blob capacity; EIP 7623, which increased the calldata cost, was also included; EIP 7762, which increased the minimum blob base fee, was not included.
EIP 7639, which stops providing pre-merge history, and EIP 4803, which limits transaction gas, may be related to Pectra and require further discussion.
Two weeks ago, the Mekong testnet based on the Pectra Devnet 4 specification encountered major problems and is now stable. Developers are focused on launching Devnet 5 and will discuss the timing of Devnet 5 and 6 at the Pectra test call next Monday.
