1️⃣ NYM: #nym returns to Europe's largest and longest running hacker event, Chaos Communication Congress, where thousands of activists, technologists, cyberpunks and artists will gather in Hamburg to shape the techno-political age. 🌐

2️⃣ BKA: The Public Prosecutor's Office in Frankfurt and the Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany confiscated servers of the #darknet marketplace Kingdom Market, located in multiple countries, and halted its operations. During the investigation, law enforcement collaborated with colleagues from the United States, Switzerland, Moldova, and Ukraine. 🕵️‍♂️

3️⃣ ChainArgos: On December 20, Tether blocked five cryptocurrency addresses on the Ethereum network, presumed to be linked to the Russian financial pyramid "Finiko." Currently, all wallets are nearly empty. The Finiko financial pyramid operated from 2019 to 2021 in Russia, Kazakhstan, and several other CIS countries, offering clients high-yield investment schemes in real estate and cryptocurrencies. 💼

4️⃣ ScamSniffer: Since March 2023, the creators of a malicious script have emptied the cryptocurrency wallets of over 63,000 victims, totaling more than $58 million. According to its data, perpetrators lured users to phishing pages promoted in Google search and X advertising. In total, they created 10,072 fake websites, with peak activity in May, June, and November. 🚨

5️⃣ A resident of Rostov-on-Don was sentenced to eight years in prison for armed robbery of 5 million rubles during a cryptocurrency sale transaction. According to the case materials, in August 2022, the defendant and an accomplice met the victim in an office to sell him cryptocurrency. When the victim placed 5 million rubles in cash on the table, the criminals, threatening with a gun, took the money and fled. ⚖️
