Ethereum ($ETH ) has gained over 4% in the last 24 hours, reaching $3,853 and approaching $4,000. Despite the gains, Ethereum has lagged behind top-performing altcoins like Solana ($SOL ) and $XRP , as well as Bitcoin (BTC), all of which have seen gains of up to 5x since the rally began.
Despite completing various upgrades following The Merge, Ether has failed to make new highs and is down 21.12% from its all-time high of $4,891.70. The approval of spot ETH exchange-traded funds (ETFs) earlier this year has also failed to lift the price. Notably, ETH dominance has dropped to 12.7%.
