ChatGPT faces its most formidable opponent ever
The AI chatbot war is heating up daily with the participation of tech "giants." Recently, Elon Musk has "declared war" on OpenAI's ChatGPT by bringing Grok, xAI's AI chatbot, to the mobile platform.
According to the Wall Street Journal, xAI is developing a standalone application for Grok, allowing users to interact with this chatbot on smartphones. This move is seen as a strategic step by Elon Musk to directly compete with ChatGPT, Gemini (Google), and Claude (Anthropic).
Grok is highly regarded for its ability to access real-time information from social media X (formerly Twitter). The Grok-2 version has also been improved with more natural conversational abilities and a humorous "personality."
Currently, Grok is only available on the web for paid users of X. However, the mobile app may offer a free version with basic features, helping Grok reach more users.
xAI has received strong investment funding, showing its ambition to compete fairly with Elon Musk's OpenAI. The launch of the mobile app is a clear testament to this.
