XRP has recently skyrocketed for no reason. Looking at the top 30 tokens by market capitalization, none were issued in 2024, and only APT, PEPE, and SUI were issued in 2023.
The logic of trading new tokens instead of old ones may be different now. Retail investors are playing memes instead of large coins. Among large coins, institutions and large funds will not have very high requirements for returns, so choosing assets with larger market capitalizations is more suitable. Additionally, there is also the factor of the U.S. altcoin ETF.
