Crypto-skeptic transformation
We have seen crypto-skeptics magically transform into crypto-enthusiasts more than once. There is an Illustrative example: Larry Fink, the head of BlackRock, a few years ago criticized cryptocurrencies, and is now actively promoting bitcoin-ETF.
And so we see a new transformation.
Do you remember who Nouriel Roubini is? He is one of the most authoritative specialists in global fiat finance, a professor at New York University, and one of the fiercest critics of cryptocurrencies. His sayings became memes: «Bitcoin is the mother of all bubbles», «Cryptocurrencies are the biggest criminal heist in human history". Just a year ago, amid FTX bankruptcy and Binance problems, he said that crypto is a Ponzi scheme.
A year later, Mr. Roubini is promoting a token release. This is an Atlas Climate Token which is actually a stablecoin.
We will not talk in detail about the Roubini project, we are more interested in the fact itself.
Of course, it is possible to accuse the respected professor of insincerity, he changed the polarity of beliefs too quickly.
In fact, this shows a dramatic shift in the positioning of the crypto business. A year later, the crypto turned into a fully respectable business. After all, if it is allowed to BlackRock, why not Roubini?
