Winners of the Top 30 Figures in Blockchain
Hong Chao-Nan: Founder of CryptoWesearch
Contributions to the industry over the past year:
Continuously working in blockchain education and community building. In addition to publishing research content on DeFi projects, we are also actively presenting research content on RWA (Real World Assets), Depin (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks), AI, and even PayFi (Payment Finance) to interested readers.
Organized various online and offline events and maintained good relationships with international teams such as Injective, Pendle, Puffer Finance, Berachain ecosystem, Solv, Iotex, etc. Launched the community 'About Little Bear', which gained over 50,000 exposures on Twitter within two months, continuously serving as a bridge between the international industry ecosystem and the Chinese-speaking market, providing more practical information.
Actively conducting campus lectures and media exposure, helping newcomers enter the field by speaking at universities, allowing more people to find career development opportunities in blockchain, while also gaining a correct understanding of the cryptocurrency industry. In response to the increasing problem of blockchain fraud, we teach users in the community how to identify potential fraud risks and offer specific prevention measures. We continuously help newcomers and investors enhance their security awareness to avoid asset loss due to misinformation from illegal platforms or fraudulent projects, promoting the healthy development of the entire industry.
How do you see the development in 2025?
Q1: What are you most looking forward to seeing in the Web3 industry in 2025?
I look forward to seeing the widespread adoption of Web3 applications, allowing more ordinary users to seamlessly enter this world. Especially through the development of decentralized finance, launching more intuitive and easy-to-use products and services to make cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology more accessible, thus lowering the entry barriers for newcomers. For example, technologies like Account Abstraction and zkRollups are expected to simplify the user experience, allowing users to participate without needing to understand the underlying technology.
💡zkRollup: A layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum that uses zero-knowledge proof technology to move all computation off-chain to alleviate blockchain network congestion.
The development of chain abstraction technology will be an important driving force for the next stage of the blockchain industry, as it reduces technical barriers, allowing traditional users to more easily enter the cryptocurrency world. It makes operations between different chains more seamless and straightforward, enabling users to utilize various blockchain applications without needing to understand the underlying technology, fostering greater user acceptance and use of decentralized services.
Q2: From your professional perspective, what do you believe are the most important trends in the blockchain industry in 2025? What are your insights and observations?
I believe the blockchain industry in 2025 will be driven by several key trends, including technological innovation, growing market demand, and further clarification of the regulatory environment.
Recently, the combination of AI and blockchain has received significant market attention. The application of AI agents can greatly enhance the usability of various applicable scenarios. In the context of decentralized finance (DeFi) operations, AI agents can automate asset allocation and market monitoring, making DeFi operations more precise and efficient while continuously optimizing investment strategies. According to market forecasts, the market size related to AI is expected to exceed $200 billion by 2025, with the potential for tenfold market value growth, and the combination of AI and blockchain will be an important part of it.
The development of real-world asset tokenization is also worth noting. Our team began deep diving into the RWA track last year, especially with the explosive growth of stablecoins and payment tracks this year, which has sparked interest in the cryptocurrency industry among many institutions, significantly enhancing future growth prospects in the cryptocurrency sector.
Q3: Are there any interesting plans or products to share for 2025?
I have always enjoyed organizing and participating in educational and community-related events, especially in promoting the popularization and acceptance of blockchain technology. In the coming year, we also plan to hold more physical events with other media or industry partners, launching joint content to help more people understand Web3 and blockchain technology through proper learning channels.
We will continue to maintain connections with partners from various countries around the world, expanding to Hong Kong, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Japan, and Malaysia, so that Taiwan's market and talent can be recognized by the international market.
