[Circle obtained conditional registration in France and appointed the country’s operations director]

Circle recently obtained conditional registration as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) in France. The move symbolizes its expansion into the European market and compliance with local regulatory standards, especially the Market for Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulations for intra-EU markets. This development by Circle will deepen its cooperation with European regulatory platforms.

To strengthen its presence in France, Circle has appointed Coralie Billmann as head of France operations. Billmann has extensive market experience, having served as chief operating officer and board member of 3S Money, a global business accounts and payments company. She joins Circle to help prepare for MiCA compliance and will be responsible for managing licensing operations in France.

Jeremy Allaire, co-founder and CEO of Circle, expressed satisfaction with obtaining DASP registration in France and considered it an important milestone in establishing a European regulatory platform. Allaire has high expectations for Billmann's expertise and leadership, and expects her to play a key role in the company's regulatory work and business expansion in the French market.

In terms of past experience, Billmann served as Head of Payments High Growth Technology Sales at JP Morgan and as Head of EMEA Finance at PayPal Luxembourg. Her new appointment will take effect subject to regulatory approval.
