The Premium Battle Between MSTR and SMLR
Recently, MSTR seems to be caught up in short-selling turmoil, raising concerns about its future. The investment risk is quite significant, so caution is advised. On the other hand, SMLR appears to be energized, rising both before and after hours, which is truly eye-catching.
Upon closer inspection, it seems that what is being shorted may not be their business model, but rather the part of the price that has increased after buying BTC, which is the premium.
Take SMLR for example; it originally had a market value of $200 million based on its own business. Now, having purchased 1,273 BTC, according to the current price, these BTC are valued at $126 million. By yesterday's close, SMLR's total market value had soared to $482 million, with an additional $282 million, and after deducting the value of BTC, there remains a premium of $156 million, with a premium rate exceeding one time.
Although this premium isn't cheap, compared to MSTR's 3.28 times premium, SMLR seems relatively reliable. Therefore, I might consider selling some MSTR to buy some SMLR. However, this is not something to rush into; I need to observe first and find a good opportunity before taking action.
Let me clarify, this is not investment advice; everyone should not blindly follow trends. I have already made a good profit on MSTR, and losing a bit on SMLR won't hurt me. Moreover, if MSTR drops further, it might even drag SMLR down with it. So before making decisions, everyone needs to think carefully about risks and rewards.
Recently, I plan to lay low for a potential coin that is ready to explode; doubling my investment should be quite simple, while also looking for some potential coins to hold until the end of the year, with an expected space of over 10 times being quite feasible.
